The end of the Office?
I read a short article that makes comments on the future of the office. Many high-tech companies have already adopted the roaming office allowing employees to log onto their company’s network in any of the smaller offices they own, or work from home. A growing number of lower tech companies are following suit. This new tendency allows companies to make savings of money and the employees to save time. In my point of view there are many positive and negative aspects for both employees and employers....

I think the roaming office is really the office of the future. Nowadays, many professionals work at home, as architects, engineers, programmers and web-designers. Some positive points of this kind of job are: people do their own time, work in an atmosphere of calm and can make contact to others professionals easily through the internet. Some negative points are: the lack of personal contact and a teamwork who could be more productive and creative.
ResponderExcluirRecently, I read an article (which I do not recall its source) that professionals working at home were moving into office buildings rooms. The reason: they lack being in contact with other professionals and their home could be very distracting hindering their performance. Even when you are home you need some discipline!
ResponderExcluirI think work at home needs a great discipline!! But I believe it is very rewarding because you can administer yur time giving your personal life more time.
